The South African Sugar Association (SASA) is currently looking for a skilled professional to fill the position of Systems Developer – CONTRACT – Durban at Ntice Sourcing Solutions (Pty) Ltd. This is a one-year contract role based at the Autolab division in Mount Edgecombe, KwaZulu-Natal. Please note that this is a hybrid working opportunity.
Autolab is dedicated to building and maintaining enterprise-grade software solutions for clients within the sugar industry across various locations. As a key member of our small, highly skilled development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting web-based applications. We work with a modern technology stack, including C#, ASP.NET Core (MVC), Angular, Oracle, SQL, and Microsoft Azure. Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using C#, ASP.NET Core (MVC), Angular, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
- Develop, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions within the Microsoft Azure environment.
- Provide ongoing support for applications and databases, specifically working with Oracle and SQL.
- Actively participate in the full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
- Contribute effectively within an Agile development environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Strong technical background in Object-Oriented Design and Database Design.
- Proficiency in MVC design patterns and industry best practices.
- Experience with XML Schema and web services.
- Proven working knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- A valid, endorsement-free Code 08 driver’s license.
Technical Experience
- Extensive experience in C# and ASP.NET Core (MVC architecture).
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: Angular, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
- Solid experience with SQL-based databases.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including App Services, Azure SQL, and Azure DevOps.
- Strong version control skills using Git.
