About the Role

Fides Recruitment is currently seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our team in Krugersdorp as a Cash Controller. In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing the company’s daily cash position. You will ensure accurate cash flow reporting, effective cash management, and the timely processing of both payments and receipts. By working closely with our Finance and Treasury teams, you will help maintain adequate liquidity, minimize financial risk, and ensure total compliance with company policies and internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash balances and manage the overall corporate cash position.
• Prepare consistent daily and weekly cash flow reports and forecasts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate any identified discrepancies.
• Oversee all incoming and outgoing cash transactions.
• Process and verify payments in strict accordance with company approval procedures.
• Monitor receipts, deposits, and various cash collections.
• Ensure all payments are processed accurately and within agreed-upon deadlines.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date records of every cash transaction.
• Assist with daily cash allocation and proactive bank account management.
• Liaise directly with banks regarding transfers, account queries, and general banking matters.
• Monitor cash requirements to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational commitments.
• Provide support during month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed cash flow forecasts and management reports.
• Identify and report on cash management risks, irregularities, or potential discrepancies.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding sensitive financial and banking information.
• Provide ongoing support to the wider Finance and Treasury departments as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 / Matric certification.
• A Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
• 2–4 years of practical experience in cash management, treasury, banking, accounts, or a similar finance-based role.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in a teller or cashier capacity.
• Proficiency in bank reconciliations and payment processing.
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Proven experience working with accounting or ERP systems.
• Exceptional numerical and analytical abilities.
• High level of accuracy and keen attention to detail.
