Exceed HR and Recruitment is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our team in Kuils River. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the integrity of our financial data, ensuring that all reporting is accurate, compliant, and delivered on time. Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of financial records, including the meticulous maintenance of journals, general ledger transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports, and comprehensive financial statements.
• Managing budgets, monitoring income and expenditure, and overseeing internal financial controls.
• Handling the processing of payments with high precision.
• Ensuring full statutory compliance by calculating and submitting VAT and tax returns.
• Coordinating annual financial audits and acting as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding financial inquiries.
• Providing general accounting support to the broader finance team as necessary.

Required Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this position, you must have a strong grasp of accounting standards and the ability to work independently. Our ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

• A BCom Degree or an equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• A robust understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and fundamental accounting principles.
• Proficient knowledge of VAT, tax compliance, and relevant statutory requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
• Experience working with Pastel Evolution will be considered a distinct advantage.
