Measured Ability is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Control Room Manager. Based in the North West region, covering Swartruggens, Rustenburg, and Hartbeespoort, this role is critical to our operations. You will be responsible for overseeing daily control room activities, leading a dedicated team, and ensuring that our safety and surveillance standards remain at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities
As the Control Room Manager, you will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership. Your primary duties include:
- Managing and overseeing all daily control room operations.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing control room personnel.
- Supervising CCTV monitoring and surveillance activities.
- Managing security and safety-related incidents, conducting thorough investigations, and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
- Compiling and reviewing detailed operational reports.
- Ensuring full contractual and operational compliance across the site.
- Developing and maintaining robust security procedures and infrastructure.
- Coordinating staff training and development programs.
- Managing administrative functions, including staff performance, attendance, leave, and disciplinary matters.
- Maintaining strong, professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Developing and executing emergency and safety response plans.
- Driving continuous improvement by monitoring overall control room performance.
- Ensuring the effective dispatch of information and clear communication across all levels.
- Maintaining accurate operational records and database integrity.
Requirements
To be considered for the position of Control Room Manager, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- PSIRA Grade A registration is essential.
- Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Security or Safety Management.
- Proven, verifiable experience in a Control Room management capacity.
- Previous experience within the Mining Industry is essential.
- CCTV monitoring and training certification.
- A solid working knowledge of SABS ISO 9001 standards.
- Current knowledge of security threats, industry trends, and modern security technology.
- A valid driver’s licence and your own reliable transport.
- Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans.
- Strong capabilities in report writing, incident investigation, and high-pressure incident management.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and after-hours as operational needs dictate.
