The Vocation Station is currently seeking an experienced Creditors Clerk to join our team in Cape Town CBD. This is an initial one-month contract position, with the distinct possibility of transitioning into a permanent role for the right candidate. We are looking for a dedicated finance professional who manages high-volume workloads with precision and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Creditors Clerk
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable function. Your primary duties will include:
- Processing high volumes of supplier invoices with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
- Performing monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
- Proactively resolving supplier queries and investigating account discrepancies.
- Ensuring all data capturing is completed timeously to meet finance department deadlines.
Qualifications and Technical Skills
To be considered for this Creditors Clerk position, you must possess the following technical expertise and professional background:
- Proven experience in processing large volumes of supplier invoices.
- Proficiency in Sage Evolution and Pastel is essential.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, specifically the ability to perform VLOOKUPs.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Working Hours and Remuneration
This role offers a salary of R15,000 per month. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00. Please note that due to the nature of the business, overtime—including Saturdays and occasional Sundays—will be required during peak periods.
