District Branch Manager (Limpopo)

Datafin is currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our team as a District Branch Manager (Limpopo). Based at our Polokwane District Office, you will be responsible for planning and executing effective marketing strategies, overseeing daily business operations, and leading the growth of our sales network. This is a key leadership role where you will appoint and mentor Sales Managers, ensuring that our high standards of service and operational excellence are maintained across the district.

Key Responsibilities

  • Appoint and lead a team of high-performing Sales Managers.
  • Plan and execute strategic marketing initiatives to meet organizational growth requirements.
  • Achieve performance benchmarks regarding recruitment, policy sales, and retention ratios.
  • Monitor performance closely, proactively managing underperformance to ensure district targets are consistently met.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, including FAIS, the Long-Term Insurance Act, and data privacy regulations.
  • Engage in regular performance reviews with the Executive Sales and National Manager: Sales to track the progress of the sales network.
  • Support Sales Managers in opening private facilities and managing key relationships with designated partners.
  • Oversee daily business operations, ensuring all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Facilitate necessary training to ensure all sales staff possess the competency and product knowledge required to advise clients effectively.
  • Maintain rigorous debt control and manage commission statement reconciliations, including the compilation of weekly reports.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification is essential.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ proven experience within the Funeral Insurance sector.
  • Solid background in administrative office work and customer service.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with a strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Desirable Qualifications and Attributes

  • Possession of an RE5 qualification.
  • Proficiency in additional languages.
  • Additional experience within the broader Financial Services Industry.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong time management capabilities, with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach, capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A commitment to providing professional, helpful, and friendly service to both clients and internal staff.
